I hope someone out there has any answers to keep me sane, because otherwise I'll just have to continue drinking my rum and coke in bewilderment. The tech that came out was awesome as hell, and knew his stuff, but I still think there is something goofy going on, because if 25MB/s was the fastest I could get, then you'd figure the speedtest would show the same, right? Perform the connectivity test several times throughout the day (the speed of your Internet connection. Make sure that none of your devices are downloading files or programs from the Internet when you perform the test. I know everyone is at home working, but what doesn't make sense to me is that if I'm only using 25MB/s (half of my connection) on a download, then I shouldn't have my connection saturated where I can't do anything else when the download is happening, like a Twitch stream will just stop and buffer until it is over. To get the most accurate result from your test: Carry it out with your computer or other device in the same room as your router. Has anyone else had this issue, because it is mind-boggling to me. Right after the tech left, I tried my connection again (as he said nothing more he can do as everything is fine at every step of the way from incoming connection in the parking garage to my wall outlet where my modem is), this time wired directly to the modem, and still get the same issue.).I just had a Charter tech come out today and basically redo all the wiring connections, and he tested with his equipment and he gets the same 50MB/s down and 10MB/s up that I get on speedtest.I've already replaced my old Linksys WRT1900AC router with a new Netgear Nighthawk 2300AC router. When I try to download something, be it a driver from Nvidia's website or a game off Steam, at any time of the day, i get 25MB/s, and it completely saturates my network, because if I try to do anything else while it is downloading, it is crazy slow.So I've had this problem for a good 3-4 months, and for the first couple of months, I figured it was related to Covid and everyone being at home saturating the network, but my problem still persists. ********RESOLUTION UPDATE FROM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS********
